Temperature effect on the magnetic-field-induced type-I'type-II transition in a CdTe/(Cd,Mn)Te superlattice
Abstract
We report on the temperature dependence of a magnetic-field-induced type-I'type-II transition in a (86) /(86) CdTe/Cd0.93Mn0.07Te superlattice. The critical magnetic field at which the transition takes place is found to increase with increasing temperature. This allows an estimation of the relative valence-band offset ranging between 15% and 25%. In addition, the experimental results indicate the existence of magnetic polarons at low temperature (T=1.7 K). © 1991 The American Physical Society.
