Speech in Digital Communication Systems
Abstract
The advent of integrated digital communication systems will initiate a new period in speech communications research and development. The new and still adaptable systems environment together with the cost performance advantages of modern digital technologies will open up the way to practical utilization for many speech technology concepts and services that are not feasible within the framework of the present “classical” telephonen etworks.
