SlideFinder: A tool for browsing presentation graphics using content-based retrieval
Abstract
An application of CBIR (content based image retrieval) technology to desktop presentation and business graphics is described. The application, SlideFinder, allows a user to index and browse Microsoft PowerPoint and Lotus Freelance Graphics by image similarity, as well as by text and keywords. The image similarity matching uses the IBM QBIC engine (M. Flickner et al., 1995).
