Research on websphere sMash and CICS TS integrated development

Abstract

Websphere sMash supports the agile development of web-based dynamic application with the use of SOA, which mainly applies to the scenarios combined application. CICS as a business transaction server is widely used in the core banking applications which adopted the traditional development pattern in the past decades. This traditional pattern is too complicated and not proper for applications needed to be rapidly developed and deployed. Recently, a new technology of dynamic scripting was put forward by integrating sMash in CICS, which provides an agile web application development platform. Through the platform, scenarios combined applications can be quickly developed in CICS, so as to achieve the purpose of rapid and agile application development. The paper introduces the concept of WebSphere sMash and CICS dynamic scripting, and describes in details the design principles and scenarios of CICS dynamic scripting. © 2012 IEEE.
