Renormalisation between classes of maps
Abstract
An extension of renormalisation group ideas is suggested in which the first return maps obtained by renormalisation are not necessarily in the same class of maps as the original map. We use this idea of renormalisation between different classes to analyse the boundary of chaos for three sorts of maps which arise as return maps for some families of differential equations. © 1990.
