Progress of erasable phase-change materials
Abstract
The current status of erasable phase-change recording materials is reviewed. Using GeTeSn-based materials as examples, dynamic performance data are presented along with discussions of the basic physical mechanisms determining media performance. For applications requiring limited number of cycles, phase-change materials have been developed to a very practical level. © 1989, SPIE.
