Photodissociation of the metal carbonyls and metal dialkyls
Abstract
The gas-phase photochemistry and photophysics of the metal carbonyls and the group 12 metal dialkyls is reviewed. Mechanisms of single-photon dissociation and multiphoton dissociation are discussed. The mechanisms of metal atom formation are emphasized, particularly as they pertain to laser techniques for photochemical deposition of metal films.
