Noise autocorrelation in high density recording on metal film disks

Abstract

This paper presents measurement and analysis of noise associated with closely spaced transitions. The measured noise autocorrelation function is found to be similar to noise calculated with both pulse amplitude variation and position jitter. The amplitude variation is larger for closely spaced transitions. © 1986 IEEE
