Multiplexed convection-enhanced kinetics in microtiter plates
Abstract
The uptake of microfluidics into life science settings is partly limited due to its disruptive nature with respect to existing labware and protocols. We present an open microfluidic probe that is compatible with standard microtiter plates, which moreover benefits from accurate convection-enhanced kinetics (10-50 fold improvement), 3 different kinetic conditions per well, automation and efficient reagent use. When combined with arrays of functionalized spots in wells, it offers unprecedented multiplexing in single-well assays.
