Maximizing signal-to-noise-ratio in extended depth-of-field bio-imaging
Abstract
The rigorous maximum limit of spectral signal-tonoise-ratio for a task-specific and in particular a bio-imaging system using arbitrary phase and/or amplitude pupil function with extended depth-of-field is presented.
