Abstract
Two important aspects of domain walls in ferromagnets were experimentally investigated by spin-polarized scanning electron microscopy: The influence of geometrical constraints on the domain wall and the motion of domain walls upon injection of short current pulses. With such experiments insight is gained into fundamental aspects of domain walls, which are important for possible future applications in memory, storage, or logic devices. © 2007 IEEE.
