Issues in modeling small devices

Abstract

New ideas are proposed to the existing and prevailing thoughts on the modeling of ultra-small devices. Focus is on quantum mechanics, self-consistency and Coulomb effects. All these three aspects are taken from a Si MOSFET perspective.
