Is divalent iron bound to transferrin?
Abstract
The binding of divalent iron by transferrin has been investigated by ultraviolet difference spectrophotometry under anaerobic conditions and by isotope exchange experiments. If divalent iron is bound at all, it is bound only very weakly. © 1970.
