INTERFEROMETRY WITH EXTENDED UNAMBIGUOUS RANGE: A SYSTEM.
Abstract
Summary form only given. A technique which allows real-time unambiguous range measurement over several wavelengths is described. The system combines polychromatic illumination with controlled phase shifting and uses very simple image processsing steps. The experimental results show that unambiguous measurement over a range of several wavelengths is possible on the basis of normalized point-by-point intensity readings. The basic performance, limitations, and tradeoff considerations are discussed as well as methods to speed up the processing.
