Integrated servo/mechanical design of HDD actuators and estimation of the achievable bandwidth
Abstract
The integrated servo/mechanical design of HDD actuators was discussed. The actuator dynamics were divided into the factors of unstable zeros, stable zeros and poles. It was shown that the performance of a moving-suspension-type actuator depended on the high frequency mode characteristics.
