IBM 3270 PERSONAL COMPUTER/GX AS A WORKSTATION.

Abstract

The IBM 3270 Personal Computer/GX is a general purpose professionals workstation which combines the capabilities of an IBM Personal Computer, a 3270 host attached display terminal, and a high function colour graphics workstation. This presentation begins by describing the hardware and software components of the workstation. It then covers: the GX used for personal computing, the GX as a 3270 terminal, the graphics capability of the GX, the way in which the above capabilities are integrated, and typical applications for the workstation.
