High density holographic data storage despite misaligned data pages
Abstract
The interplay between a post-signal processing algorithm, which is used for compensating misregistrations between a detector array and coherent image of pixelated 2-dimensional data page, and random noise was investigated. An improved algorithm was demonstrated, in which an intentional magnification error was introduced optically and was corrected during post-processing. Experimental results indicated low bit-error-rate which was independent of the misalignment of the data page.
