In this work we quantitatively estimate the electron-phonon coupling constants, λ, in 214 and 123 oxide superconductors and they are found to be 0.13 and 0.03, respectively. The small values of λ indicate that the electron-phonon interactions are considerably reduced due to the highly correlated nature of the conduction electrons in these oxide superconductors. © 1989.
