EPR parameters and ionic-covalent transition in solids

The anomalous change of EPR parameters of half-filled 3d ions in various compounds with the covalency parameter is discussed in view of the recently proposed ionic-covalent transition. It is pointed out that the parameters g, a and D are sensitive to the long-range interaction bringing up the transition, whereas A reflects the local cluster bonding properties. © 1970.
