Engineering microfluidic chips with integrated binding sites for ultraminiaturized immunoassays
Abstract
We developed a method to integrate binding sites for immunoassays in the microstructures of microfluidic chips. The binding sites, which are fluorescently labelled antibodies, are patterned inside the microstructures using microcontact printing (μCP). We used fluorescence microcopy to explore the influences of surface chemistry of the chip and the aspect ratios of the microstructures on the quality of the microcontact printed patterns.
