Critical issues in high density magnetic and optical data storage
Abstract
The storage of machine-readable information is of fundamental importance in today's highly complex and computer-oriented society. Shipments of data storage peripherals in 1982 had a total value well in excess of $10 billion, and the strong demand for additional capacity is reflected in the high annual growth rate of this market. © 1983 SPIE.
