Computing curves invariant under halving

We consider functions that are produced by subdivision algorithms which have the same structure as de Casteljau's algorithm, Chaikin's algorithm and Lane/Riesenfeld's algorithm. Results from a forthcoming paper concerning the differentiability and polynomial structure of the functions produced by these algorithms will be described here. © 1987.
