Competing high-speed/high-density technologies

Abstract

There are now a number of alternative semiconductor technologies-NMOS, CMOS, SOS, VMOS, DMOS and I2L- A s well as various conventional bipolar structures. These will be compared and contrasted, and their relative merits over the range of memory and logic applications considered.
