Closing the pseudogap in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+y at high-magnetic fields

A study of closing of pseudogap by Zeeman splitting in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+y (BSCCO) at high magnetic fields was performed. The pseudogap in the normal state of BSCCO caused the low-energy density-of-states (DOS) depletion. DOS depletion was probed by using interlayer tunneling resistivity. A simple Zeeman energy scaling related the pseudogap closing field and pseudogap temperature.
