A study by scanning electron microscopy of magnetic head-tape interface sliding
Abstract
A test apparatus was designed and built which would allow direct observations of a sliding experiment between a magnetic tape and a ceramic head material. The tests were performed inside the chamber of a scanning electron microscope. The resulting observations and energy-dispersive analysis are discussed in this paper. © 1989.
