A global information model for service-oriented system engineering
Abstract
A global information model (GIM) is to describe all the engineering information across a service-oriented system design. GIM includes both business and design information of the systems. Business information is the involved services, service providers, service requestors, business objects, and business processes. Design information is the relationships and rules in developing service-oriented systems. The GIM was proposed by authors in a previous work to support a multi-model driven collaborative platform for service-oriented system design. Besides, GIM can be used by all engineering platforms to improve their design capability and processes. This paper will present the details of the global model implementation. © 2009 IEEE.
