Bio

Zygmunt's mission is to make the world's networks Quantum Safe.

His research focuses on the gap between government, financial services and telecom and all other industry sectors in PQC awareness, planning and standards. How can standards, industry groups and regulation address this gap if we are to complete PQC migration by 2031/2035?

He is a co-founder of the GSMA Post Quantum Telco Network Task Force (PQTN). He is the editor for PQTN publications.

He advises government and industry on migration to Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC). He tracks government and industry PQC guidance. He also researches applications of quantum computing in telecom.

Previously he was IBM Telecom Industry Technical Leader where he worked on many of the innovations in 5G: Edge (MEC - Mobile Edge Computing), Telco Network Cloud (NFV - Network Function Virtualization), Orchestration and Open APIs. He worked on the initial implementations of Open APIs in telecommunications including JAIN, Parlay/OSA and the GSMA OneAPI.

He is an IBM Senior Quantum Ambassador and a Diamond member of the IBM Industry Academy.

Zygmunt was educated at Imperial College London and is a member of the IEEE. He has over 35 patents in computing and telecommunications, and has spoken at hundreds of conferences.
