Dr. Eddie Schoute is a Research Staff Member at IBM Quantum, specializing in quantum algorithms and compilation for fault-tolerant architectures. His research includes the development of algorithms for compilation to surface code architectures and quantum routing for architectures with limited interactions. Dr. Schoute’s work often involves empirical demonstrations of proposed algorithms, showcasing his broad expertise in software engineering and proficiency in multiple programming languages. He is also a contributor to open-source software projects, including Qiskit.
