You are cordially invited to participate in a one-day Information Retrieval Leadership seminar, to be held Sunday, December 12th, 2010 at the IBM Haifa Research Lab, located on the University of Haifa campus in Haifa, Israel.
This year we will focus on text analytics technologies, with exciting new applications like Twitter mining and advertisement. The keynote speaker will be Prof. Oren Etzioni, Director of the Turing Center, University of Washington, who will talk about Open Information Extraction at Web Scale.
The goal of the seminar is to promote local research and industry in this area and to foster stronger ties between the two. The event will combine academic and industrial sessions, with contributions from leading scientists and practitioners in this field. The conference is open to all, registration is free.
