You are cordially invited to a full-day colloquium on cognitive computing, to be held on Monday, November 24, 2014. These cognitive computing systems are designed to learn and interact naturally with people to extend what either humans or machines could do on their own. This year we will focus on exciting new methods and applications of conversational systems, affective computing and text analytics.
The goal of the colloquium is to promote local research and industry in this area and to foster stronger ties between the two. The event will combine academic and industrial sessions, with contributions from leading scientists and practitioners in this field.
The colloquium will take place in the auditorium (room L100) of the IBM Research - Haifa site on the Haifa University campus from 09:30 to 18:00. Lunch and light refreshments will be served.
Participation is free, but registration is required.
The event will be co-located with the IBM Machine Learning Seminar to be held on November 23, 2014.
