Prof. Yehuda Bassok
Prof. Bassok's research interests include supply chain
management, design and analysis of purchasing contracts,
management of centralized and decentralized inventory
systems, and bargaining within supply chains. Recently he
has been concentrating on healthcare delivery in low income
countries. More specifically he studies problems related to
development and procurement of drugs, efficient methods to
deliver drugs to low income countries, and the development
of human capacity in developing countries. His research has
been published in many top journals.
At present, Prof. Bassok is chair of the IOM department at
the Marshall School of Business at the University of
Southern California. Prior to joining USC, he was on the
faculty of Northwestern University and a visiting professor
at the University of Washington.
Prof. Bassok served as chief system analyst of SES, a
company that specialized in developing real time data
collection and scheduling systems. He also owned his own
apparel company, producing and exporting goods from Israel
to Europe.
Prof. Bassok received his Ph.D. from the Carnegie Mellon
University and his B.A. and B.S. in Mathematics and
Economics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel.
