Zero-dark current operation of a metal-graphene-metal photodetector at 10 Gbit/s data rate
Abstract
We demonstrate detection of an optical bit stream at 10 GBit/s data rate using a novel metal-graphene-metal photodetector. Utilizing an asymmetric metallization scheme allows zerodark current operation despite the fact that graphene is a semi-metal. © 2010 Optical Society of America.
