Using program visualization for tuning parallel-loop scheduling
Abstract
Program visualization is an integral tool for developing and tuning runtime systems for scheduling nested parallel loops on both shared- and distributedmemory machines. Experiments with the PV visualization system shed light on the effectiveness of alternative algorithms and parameters.
