Unidirectional anisotropy in surface magnetism of amorphous GdCo
Abstract
Surface magnetization curves measured by spin-polarized photoemission show the presence of unidirectional anisotropy at low temperatures causing a displacement of the hysteresis loops along the external field axis. In addition, wall pinning has been observed which also depends on the direction of the applied field.
