Ultrasonic Traveling-Wave Parametric Amplification

Abstract

A simplified theory of traveling-wave ultrasonic nonlinear interactions is presented, and experimental results obtained for the case of parametric amplification are given. A method of suppressing undesired parametric interactions through the use of ultrasonic magnetic resonance dispersion is described. The theory is also applied to amplification with incoherent pumping. © 1965, IEEE. All rights reserved.
