An account is given on turning points of humans and computers interaction. The interaction turning points are detailed in three topics. In the first topic, programming languages, the power of modeling and simulation via executable models is emphasized. The second topic, automating office, details developments in larger context: forms processing across networks and multiple enterprises doing supply chain management. The third topic, human factors, focus on the quantification and prediction of the ease of use.
