The symmetry of a triplet charge transfer state in phenanthrene-PMDA crystals: dimer versus trimer
Abstract
The low symmetry of the unit cell of the charge transfer crystal phenanthrene-PMDA investigation of the symmetry of the lowest excited triplet state. The investigation is carried out on the basis of complete evaluation of the fine structure tensor of the triplet state. Additional information from the hyperfine structure of the localized triplet state leads to the conclusion that the complex symmetry corresponds to a trimer with the following structure: (PMDA) (phenanthrene) (PMDA). © 1977.
