Specific-heat measurements of TmSe

Magnetic-field specific-heat measurements on a nearly stoichiometric TmSe sample are reported. The paramagnetic regime is characterized by a high linear temperature term,, independent of the magnetic field; the magnetically "ordered" phase shows a drop in even when the resistivity jump below TN is destroyed by the magnetic field and the resistivity lies below its room-temperature value. © 1981 The American Physical Society.
