Solution of the Werthamer equation at finite temperatures
Abstract
The Werthamer equation has been solved for the current-biased capacitive local tunnel junction at various temperatures and capacitances. The resulting dc voltage-current characteristics exhibit a singularity at the gap voltage and cusplike or steplike singularities at all odd subharmonic gap voltages which strongly depend on capacitance and temperature. The shape of the characteristics give rise to a complicated hysteretical behavior if the current is changed quasistatically. © 1978 The American Physical Society.
