Solid argon revisited: Pair and many-body potentials
Abstract
Low temperature properties of solid argon are compared with those calculated using the pair potentials of Barker, Fisher, and Watts and of Aziz and Chen, together with the best available estimates of long-range many-body interactions. The results calculated with the two potentials are very close to one another and in excellent agreement with experiment provided that the three-body interactions are included. © 1983 American Institute of Physics.
