Signal propagation in a bubble lattice with long range dipole interaction
Abstract
The propagation of an information bit along a dense packed bubble lattice is simulated by computer. Each column of bubbles is assumed to be a non-linear oscillator interacting with other ones by short and long range dipole forces. The results show how a bit, represented by a transition layer separating two regions of differing • response, moves through the lattice with velocity depending on the amplitude of the external driving force and on the ratio between short and long range interactions. © 1983 IEEE
