Reply to comment on "disproving a silicon analog of an alkyne with the aid of topological analyses of the electronic structure and ab initio molecular dynamics calculations"
Abstract
(Figure presented) Bond order of a silicon-silicon bond (2): Quantum chemical analysis of the central Si-Si bond in a recently synthesized compound, which was claimed to be the first stable silicon analog of an alkyne, led to the conclusion: the central Si-Si bond cannot be classified as a triple bond (see picture). © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
