A convenient and reproducible method for the crystallization of transferrin utilizing a collodion membrane ultrafiltration apparatus is presented. The method yields crystals that may be frozen for low-temperature studies without significant loss of crystallinity. Some of the physical properties of the crystallized transferrin are presented. © 1967.
