Piezoelectricity under hydrostatic pressure
Abstract
Phillips's theory of ionicity is used to estimate the piezoelectric coefficient under hydrostatic pressure of several semiconductors with a zinc-blende structure. It is found that this new effect is comparable in magnitude to the usual piezoelectric effect. © 1971 The American Physical Society.
