Abstract
I present computational and graphical results on overrelaxed Halley's method for one-parameter rational functions of the form ξα - 1 =o in order to gain insight into the behavior of the method. The resulting plots reveal a visually striking and intricate class of patterns indicating behavior ranging from stable attractive points to chaos. © 1988.
