Optimal simulation of two-qubit Hamiltonians using general local operations

Abstract

Optimal simulation of two-qubit Hamiltonians was discussed using general local operations. The achievable space of Hamiltonians H′ was considered such that evolution e-iH′t can be simulated. Optimal s was calculated for two-qubit Hamiltonians H and H′. Results showed that optimal protocols do not require local ancillas. © Oxford University Press 2002.
