Optimal control of resource allocation in e-business environments with strict quality-of-service performance guarantees
Abstract
The control and optimization of performance or profit measures in e-business environments is fundamental to the continued growth and success of such IT-based systems. We consider the problem of optimizing profits in these environments under a general cost model with strict QoS guarantees. Numerous experiments are used to illustrate and quantify the benefits of our hierarchical solution approach.
