Abstract
Report on 16th Annual ACM Conference on object-oriented programming systems, languages and applications (OOPSLA) was presented. This report included selected papers from the workshop on objects, XML and databases. A minimalist approach was adopted to avoid complexity and to pursue goals of producing higher quality and better documented systems.
