Novel initiators for atom transfer radical and ring-opening polymerization: a new general method for the preparation of thiol-functional polymers
Abstract
Well-defined thiol-functional polymers were prepared by the use of easily accessible initiators bearing a protected mercapto moiety. Asymmetric telechelic polymers were produced by either atom transfer radical (ATRP) or ring-opening (ROP) polymerization.
