New Class of Polarization Echoes

A new class of polarization echoes is reported in which the frequencies of the input pulses are harmonically related. The previously reported echo phenomenon in piezoelectric semiconductors is shown to be a special case in which all frequencies are the same. © 1975 The American Physical Society.
